Job Description:

Open PhD student position
in advanced diffusion-weighted Imaging

We are looking for a doctoral candidate in advanced diffusion-weighted MR imaging for a project in Northern Germany. Funding is provided by the German Research Foundation (DFG). The project aims at inventing new methods for tissue characterization using diffusion weighted MR imaging. In particular,
measurements of the pore or cell size distribution for assessing pathological tissue conditions are to be developed. The group has access to two clinical 3 T whole-body systems (Philips, Siemens) and a preclinical 9.4 T system (Bruker).
Lübeck is a town with long history in Northern Germany, close to Hamburg and to the Baltic Sea. The project will be carried out in collaboration with Universitätsklinikum Schleswig-Holstein, which is among the largest European university hospitals, with locations in Kiel and Lübeck.

Starting date: Summer 2017
