Pulse Sequence Developer for High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound

Eintrittstermin: The starting date is negotiable.

We are searching for a pulse sequence developer for an EU-funded project on high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) therapy. The project aims to develop an ultrasound applicator for the therapy of prostate lesions – for this, an EU-wide research consortium is formed to forge a strong cooperation between experts in ultrasound device development, MR pulse sequence and hardware as well as image post-processing and clinical application.

In this sub-project dedicated pulse sequences will be developed to monitor the therapyinduced temperature changes during HIFU therapy in real time. Furthermore, new device tracking concepts will be realized to automatically determine the position of the HIFU applicator and to adjust the imaging parameters.

The successful candidate should have experience in one or more of the following areas:

• pulse sequence development (preferably using Siemens IDEA)
• MR-guided thermal therapies and/or MR device tracking
• good communication skills in order to present the research results in consortium meetings

Die Stelle ist in Vollzeit zu besetzen und auf 3 Jahre befristet.
The position is full time and limited to 3 years.
