The Department of Neuroradiology at the University of Heidelberg Medical Center invites applications for several research positions, specializing in MRI Physics and Medical Informatics.
The Department of Neuroradiology is equipped with a latest generation 9.4T horizontal bore Bruker BioSpec (including a cryo-probe for 1H-MRI). A research-only 3 Tesla whole body MR-scanner has been installed in March 2011, adding to the existing two 3T whole body scanners, which are mainly used for clinical purpose. The Division of Experimental Radiology (Head: Prof. Dr. Sabine Heiland), which is part of the Department of Neuroradiology, comprises a research group of physicists, engineers, and computer scientists. The main focus of research is to develop and apply quantitative, dynamic and functional MR techniques to examine the central and peripheral nerve system.
Currently we have several open positions:
Computer Scientist for maintenance and development of IT- and network structure, particularly for data postprocessing and communication in multicenter studies.
PhD student (Physicist) for development of functional imaging techniques in peripheral nerve MR imaging.
PhD student (Physicist) for development of quantitative imaging techniques in MR imaging of brain tumors.
PhD student (Computer Scientist) for development as well as stability and performance analysis of a server-based postprocessing concept within a European multicenter study.
