Principal Investigator (1,0 fte) Donders Institute, Centre for Cognitive Neuroimaging Maximum Salary: € 4,970 gross/month Vacancy number: 30.01.10 Job description The Donders Institute, Centre for Cognitive Neuroimaging, and the Faculty of Science seek to recruit a researcher for a Principal Investigator position. As a Principal Investigator, you will form a multidisciplinary team, focusing on research questions in cognitive neuroscience and using neuroimaging as the primary tool. You will have a limited teaching obligation at the Science faculty. You will be based at the Donders Institute, Centre for Cognitive Neuroimaging and will have access to all its research facilities, including fMRI at 1.5 T, 3 T and 7 T, MEG, EEG, TMS and labs for primate research. Requirements You should be a highly talented and dedicated researcher in the fields of cognitive neurosciences and neuroimaging, and you must be able to establish your own line of research within the CentreÕs overall research profile and in collaboration with the Faculty of Science. Organization The Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour consists of the Centre for Cognition, the Centre for Cognitive Neuroimaging and the Centre for Neuroscience. The mission of the Centre for Cognitive Neuroimaging is to conduct cutting-edge fundamental research in cognitive neuroscience. Much of the rapid progress in this field is driven by the development of complex neuroimaging techniques for the in-vivo scanning of activity in the human brain Ð an area in which the Centre plays a leading role. The research themes cover central cognitive functions, such as perception, action, attention, memory, language, learning and plasticity. The Centre also aims to establish how the different brain areas coordinate their activity with very high temporal precision to enable human and animal cognition.
